What is the new transition date?
The new tentative date is scheduled to be June 4, 2022 with the branch opening as AltaOne on June 6, 2022.

Why is the transition delayed? 
We are working on the final steps of the acquisition process with the Regulators.

We anticipate no further delays, however if the situation changes, you will be notified as soon as possible.

Can I use my AltaOne Debit/ATM card I just received?
No. Please wait until the transition is complete, which is tentatively June 6, 2022.

Why are my recurring debit/ATM card charges approved?
Recurring charges on your AltaOne card may be approved due to a hold that is placed on recurring charges.

‚ÄčWhy are one-time debit/ATM card charges declined?
Since the transition has not yet taken place, there are no funds in the account tied to the debit/ATM card.

Can I still use the ATM at Mission Bank?
Yes, you can continue to use the ATM at Mission Bank using your Mission Bank debit card until June 6, 2022. Deposit functionality is not currently available.

Will I be charged Mission Bank or AltaOne fees when I use the ATM?
Yes, you will be charged a fee of $3.00 if you use your Mission Bank card at the AltaOne ATM located at Mission Bank; however, please inform our staff and we will reverse the ATM fees.

How long will my Mission Bank Debit/ATM card work for?
Your Mission Bank cards will continue to work until the transition is complete on June 6, 2022.

When will I be able to access my Online Banking?
AltaOne online banking will be available for transactions after the transition is complete on June 6, 2022. You are invited to set up any recurring bill payments at any time including prior to the completion of the transition on June 6, 2022.

How will this affect Bill Pay that I have with Mission Bank or AltaOne?
Any payee’s currently with Mission Bank will have to be re-entered in your new Online Banking Bill Pay. AltaOne staff can assist you with the set-up process.

I’ve already switched my ACH Debits and Credits.  What will happen to those?
AltaOne and Mission Bank have a process in place, that will enable your ACH Debits and Credit to be processed into your Mission Bank account until we transition on June 6, 2022.

How will this affect my loan payment?
The transition date will have no effect on your loan payments as they will continue to be paid to Mission Bank.

AltaOne and Mission Bank have a process in place that will enable your Direct Deposit to be processed into your Mission Bank account until we transition on June 6, 2002.

Why is AltaOne acquiring the Ridgecrest office of Mission Bank? AltaOne is acquiring the Mission Bank Ridgecrest office to further expand and invest in the Ridgecrest community. The purchase will add an additional, convenient location in the northern part of Ridgecrest. The purchase (acquisition) and increased resources will allow us to better serve our community.

When is the Mission Bank Ridgecrest office transitioning to AltaOne? The anticipated date of the transition to AltaOne is Saturday, June 4, 2022. The branch will open as AltaOne on Monday, June 6, 2022.

Where is AltaOne headquartered? AltaOne Federal Credit Union is a federally chartered credit union headquartered in Ridgecrest, California. Organized in 1947 at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake. AltaOne’s field of membership includes Kern, Inyo and Mono Counties, as well as select communities in northern San Bernardino County. Branches are in Ridgecrest, China Lake, Bakersfield, Bishop, Boron, California City, Kernville, Lake Isabella, Lone Pine and Tehachapi.

What is the difference between a bank and a credit union? The biggest difference between a bank and a credit union is a bank is a for-profit financial institution while a credit union is not-for-profit. Although products and services, loans and accounts offered may be similar, credit unions reinvest any profits into better loan and account rates as well as lower fees and charges. The credit union is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of community members.

Why do we refer to our customers as members? We refer to our customers as members. Being a member makes you an owner of the credit union and as an owner, you have a say in how things are run. You get to vote and run for our volunteer Board of Directors, and you can also be a part of all our committees.

When will my direct deposits be posted? Direct Deposits will be posted as soon as it is received by AltaOne. To ensure timely credit to your account, please update your new AltaOne account information with the sender.

What will my fees be on my account once they are moved to AltaOne? AltaOne is currently reviewing Mission Banks Fee Schedule to coincide with AltaOne’s fee philosophy. Please check back for an updates.

How long will my Mission Bank ATM/Debit card work? Mission Bank ATM/Debit cards will work until 12:00 a.m., May 2, 2022. Account holders should start using their new AltaOne ATM/Debit cards on May 2, 2022.
