Contactless Visa® CREDIT Card
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is my Credit Card being replaced?
We are upgrading our Credit Card program to provide Tap to Pay convenience, added security, real-time card alerts, and more! To ensure we take advantage of all of the added security available, we must issue new contactless cards.
Your new Contactless Credit Card will provide Tap to Pay convenience, making it the better option for everyday banking and purchases in person and online. You can also pay bills and use for mobile payments such as Apple Pay and Google Pay. Visa zero liability provide additional layers of security against unauthorized transactions.
Where is my new Credit Card?
Your new contactless, tap to pay, Platinum Visa will be in the mail soon. You should receive your new card no later than July 20th. Keep an eye on your mailbox and give us a call if you do not receive your card by the 20th.
How do Contactless Credit Cards make transactions quicker, safer, and more convenient?
Security: Contactless cards use dynamic data encryption for each transaction, making it harder for fraudsters to clone the card. Additionally, they don't require you to input your PIN for small transactions, lowering the risk of shoulder surfing or data theft.
Low Risk of Skimming: Since the card never leaves your possession, it minimizes the risk of "skimming" (fraudsters stealing card details by swiping or copying your card data).
Reduced Wear and Tear: Because there is no need to insert or swipe the card repeatedly, it experiences less wear and tear compared to traditional cards.
Convenience: With a simple tap of your card near a point-of-sale terminal, you can complete your payment. There's no need to insert or swipe the card, saving time, especially for small transactions.
Speed: Contactless payments are faster than traditional card payments, reducing the time spent at checkout. This is especially useful for high-traffic areas or quick transactions, like coffee shops or gas stations.
